Area Specialists

Specialists - doctor and patient at homeMovement disorders specialists are a type of neurologist who have additional training in diagnosis and management of disorders which produce tremors, jerking, involuntary movements, unusual postures, and certain types of incoordination.

Movement disorders specialists are especially skilled at Parkinson’s disease (and related disorders), essential tremor, dystonia, myoclonus, tics, ataxia, and other relatively uncommon problems. Many general neurologists do not build enough experience seeing patients with these problems.  They may not recognize a pattern of motor behavior that may be readily identifiable to a movement disorders specialist.

If you are a movement disorders specialist serving Kentucky or Southern Indiana, we are happy to list your information here. We provide this list as a service to potential patients; we have no vested interest in any specific physicians, nor do we provide any assurance or guarantee with respect to their service.
