Webinar #1: Taming Your Anger Monster
Anger is a normal and predictable response to circumstances over which we have little or no control. As a caregiver, it is likely that you encounter countless situations every day over which you have little or no control. In this Webinar, Elaine Sanchez will address some of the reasons caregivers get angry, including the “3-F’s of Flipping Out,” which are Fatigue, Fear, and Frustration, and she will introduce you to a three-step process that will help you develop an “Attitude of Creative Indifference” toward the people, situations, and events that are the most upsetting to you.

Webinar #2: Give Caregiver Guilt the Boot

The dictionary defines guilt as a sense of having done something wrong or having failed in an obligation. Elaine describes it as a cruel and controlling emotion that is experienced entirely too often by most caregivers. In this Webinar, you will discover how to identify the guilt-trippers in your life. You will see how it is possible to stop managing other people’s feelings and how changing your emotional vocabulary can help you stop feeling guilty when you have not intentionally inflicted emotional or physical pain on another person.

You will also gain insights into the difference between preparatory grief and grief after death. You will come away with strategies for honoring your feelings and caring for yourself while working your way through the losses and emotional pain associated with caring for a loved one who is living with Parkinson’s Disease.
